This Leonard Cheshire venue has been busy doing the ‘Horticulture Health & Safety’ module

Bentley

- Holiday Scheme - Using a Camera

- Tracey’s cookery group – Following a Recipe

- Lots of people are doing the Understanding Me unit

- ‘The Dance group have been busy learning all sorts of dances – from disco to ballroom – getting ready for their July show’. They are doing the OCR ‘Taking Part in a Performance’ module

- The group planning a summer boat trip are doing their ‘Working as Part of a Group’ unit

 

Colebrook

- Gateways IT group are doing word processing and the use of IT equipment in everyday settings

- The Inside Out group have completed an Assertiveness unit

- The Horley group are working on ‘Skills to Use a Camera’ and taking some great photos

- The travel training group are doing either their ‘Crossing the Road’ unit or their ‘Handling Data’ unit

- The Garden Centre will be working on the ‘Introduction to Horticulture’ once their busy season has quietened down

- The Art group are busy doing a ‘Handling Data’ unit, working on arty circles and squares

- Some ladies are doing ‘You and Your Appearance’ – watch for the glamour girls around the day centre!

- In Caterham, they are exploring the ‘You and Your Feelings’ unit

Cranleigh Community Group

- They have completed their Road Safety and You & Healthy Eating units. One of the group is doing animal care as she loves horses and would like to work with them.

- The group are thinking about doing ‘Taking Part in Sport’ as they are a very athletic lot!

- One person is doing ‘Understanding Me’ and another is working on a craft unit

 

Cranstock

- The Media Group have completed the ‘Skills to Use a Camera’ unit. They are now thinking of doing an Internet unit.

- The cookery group are showing how well they can ‘Follow a Recipe’.

 

 

Fairways

- Rob’s media group are doing Skills to Use a Camera, then Linking Words and Pictures

Egham Community Group

- Basic Communication

- Community Awareness

Farnham Community Group

- They have done ‘Going Out with Others’ and ‘Healthy Eating’ and are deciding what to do next

Fernleigh

- They have completed their Crossing the Road unit and are now working on ‘Community Awareness’

 

Godalming Group

- This new group are demonstrating their knowledge of Godalming by doing the ‘Community Awareness’ unit

 

Guildford Community Group

- Have completed their Powerpoint Presentations, Finding IT information and Working as a Group units

- The person doing You and Healthy Eating has passed that and is now doing Diet and Exercise

- The group are doing the ‘Community Awareness’ unit as they are great experts on Guildford!

- Simon Jones is a great fan of cathedrals – click on his picture to see the photos he took as part of a Powerpoint presentation after a visit to Guildford Cathedral.

- People at the Carson Suite Café are doing lots of catering units, to show their skills at serving food

Lockwood

- The Gro’wth team have completed their ‘Horticultural Health & Safety’ unit and are now working on ‘Basic Garden Maintenance’

- Planet People are doing ‘Expressive Self’ to show their creative talents

- The Gateways group are doing ‘Intro to I.T. Skills’

- People in transition are busy with Powerpoint and Understanding Me units

 

Mulberry

- Have completed their drama units and some people are now doing the You and Healthy Eating unit

Rentwood - Office Services

- They have passed their ‘Intro to Office Equipment’ unit and are now working on units for specific pieces of equipment e.g. photocopier, binding machine

 Train the Trainer

- This county-wide group are working on the ‘Delivering a Talk’ and ‘Working as a Group’ units, as they learn to give talks to audiences.
