The ‘About Us’ project enables adults with learning disabilities in Surrey to show others what they are good at.
It also helps people to learn new skills working towards greater independence and possibly employment. The project uses OCN (Open College Network) to accredit the learning. They provide a flexible approach to learning which is ideal for the needs of About Us students. If you are part of one of the Surrey County Council day centres, community groups or residential homes for people with learning disabilities and are interested in any of the learning units detailed, please contact:- Phil Mack ‘About Us’ project officer Tel: 01737 737149 Mob: 07811 187650 E-mail: phil.mack@surreycc.gov.uk
If you are not within Surrey, but are involved in a learning programme, you might like to contact: National Open College Network at www.nocn.org.uk There are two sets of learning units, just click on one to see what is available General and Vocational |
